Blue tansy, also known as tansy, is a yellow-flowered annual Mediterranean plant found in northern Morocco. The chemical component chamazulene gives tansy its characteristic indigo color and is recognized for its soothing skin benefits. At the same time, sabinene, its main component, helps reduce the appearance of blemishes. Uplifting to the mood, tansy produces a sweet aroma that fills any room. It is perfect for massaging into skin with fractionated coconut oil or lotion after a long day of work or intense exercise to aid the body in its natural recovery process.
Uses
- Diffuse to uplift mood and create a positive atmosphere.
- Add 1 drop to 1–2 ounces of your favorite moisturizer or cleanser and apply topically to help reduce the appearance of blemishes or soothe skin irritation.
- Add 1–2 drops to lotion for a restorative massage after a stressful day or extreme exercise.
Directions for Use
Diffusion: Use 1 to 2 drops in your favorite diffuser.
Topical use: Apply 1 to 2 drops to desired area. Dilute with dōTERRA Fractionated Coconut Oil to minimize skin sensitivity.
