Description

Dismuzyme Plus Granules ™ supplies superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase from Biotics Research Corporation's proprietary vegetable culture. Free radicals cause biological damage, generally through oxidative processes. SOD is the primary enzymatic free radical scavenger in humans. It works to convert superoxide radicals into hydrogen peroxide and oxygen. Likewise, catalase converts hydrogen peroxide into oxygen and water, thus complementing the activity of SOD. These activities are a crucial part of the cellular antioxidant defense mechanism and by virtue of this function, these compounds play a role in moderating the aging process.
